Two Resident Companies Win Excellence and Encouragement Awards
AI and Software Startup Club Also Recognized at National Competition
Companies and student startup clubs based at the Sun Moon University Startup Incubation Center have won consecutive awards at the '2025 World Robo Festa' startup competition.
According to Sun Moon University on August 7, the event was held from August 5 to 6 at Sangmyung University in Cheonan. It was co-hosted by the Chungnam Content Agency and the International Youth Robot Federation, and co-organized by Sun Moon University, Kongju National University, Baekseok Culture University, Korea University of Technology and Education, and Hoseo University.
In the Startup IR Competition, resident companies Mobil8 Co., Ltd. (CEO Ryu Seokwon) and Heltasis Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Jiheon) received the Excellence Award and the Encouragement Award, respectively.
Mobil8 was recognized for its technology and market scalability with its open-field autonomous transport robot platform 'ILRO.' Heltasis received high marks for social value with its AI-based digital rehabilitation solution 'GoodTuck.'
In the university (and graduate) student startup competition, the sAI team, a startup club from the Department of AI Software, won the Encouragement Award.
The team drew attention by presenting a POS and commercial district analysis-based management solution for local small business owners.
Additionally, during the event, JUO Company, a resident company at the Startup Incubation Center, participated in the 'Show & Sell' program, showcasing handmade pet snacks through live commerce and an on-site flea market, attracting the interest of visitors.
The Sun Moon University Startup Support Group stated, "This is a meaningful achievement as our technology and marketability have been officially recognized by external organizations."
Meanwhile, Sun Moon University is actively fostering technology startups linked to new industries in the Chungnam region, such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and mobility, and is also working to build a region-based startup ecosystem.
