Jindo County in South Jeolla Province is receiving a strong response from residents for its "Early Life Health Management Program," which provides home-visit health management services for mothers in the early stages after childbirth and for households with infants and toddlers.

The Jindo County Public Health Center announced on the 6th that, through this program, professional nurses visit households with pregnant women and children under 24 months of age in the region to provide customized health management services. The center stated that this initiative is helping to reduce health concerns and anxiety about childcare after childbirth.

After registering pregnant women and conducting health assessments, the health center provides support through both initial and ongoing visits. The main services include: ▲ prenatal and postnatal health consultations ▲ health checkups and developmental support for infants and toddlers ▲ breastfeeding and nutrition education ▲ counseling to prevent postpartum depression ▲ and connecting families to community welfare resources.

One mother who experienced the service said, "A professional nurse came to my home and provided essential information for childcare, and also highlighted the role of my husband, which was a great support. I felt comforted and relieved from the burden of having to handle everything alone."

An official from the Jindo County Public Health Center stated, "It is important to carefully address the health and childcare issues that parents face in the early stages after childbirth. We will continue to actively promote various childbirth and childcare policies to make Jindo a better place to have and raise children."
