Grand Reopening of SMG Yonsei Hospital Vascular Center
Equipped with State-of-the-Art Angiography Devices for Advanced Diagnosis and Treatment
On August 7, SMG Yonsei Hospital held a grand reopening of its significantly expanded Vascular Center, ushering in a new era for vascular disease treatment in the local community.
With this expansion, the hospital has established a cutting-edge equipment infrastructure by introducing the nation's top-tier Canon Medical Systems premium angiography devices: the INFX-8000C (SINGLE) and INFX-8000V (BIPLANE).
The expanded Vascular Center features a spacious and comfortable environment, offering a systematic diagnosis and treatment system that combines state-of-the-art equipment with a team of specialized medical professionals. The center enables precise vascular imaging and effective procedures for a wide range of vascular conditions. Notably, it has established a 24-hour emergency intervention system for both cardiovascular and cerebrovascular cases, ensuring rapid treatment.
The newly introduced INFX-8000 series are high-performance imaging devices. The INFX-8000C features a ceiling-mounted C-arm system, a large flat-panel detector, and versatile table movements, providing excellent space utilization and patient accessibility. These features enable accurate vascular diagnosis and prompt procedures, while also significantly improving the efficiency of the medical staff.
Additionally, the INFX-8000V is a biplane angiography system that combines floor and ceiling mounts. Its two C-arms simultaneously capture vascular structures from both frontal and lateral perspectives, supporting safe and precise procedures. With features such as color-coded composite imaging and a low-dose system, it also shortens procedure times and minimizes radiation exposure.
Chairman Park Jaekyun stated, "With the expansion and the introduction of the latest angiography devices, we are now able to provide the local community with safer and more precise vascular disease diagnosis and treatment services. Moving forward, we will continue to contribute to the health of the community by enhancing our advanced medical environment and strengthening the capabilities of our specialized staff."
Meanwhile, the expansion of the SMG Yonsei Hospital Vascular Center and the introduction of new equipment are expected to provide patients in Changwon and the Gyeongnam region with greater access to state-of-the-art medical services, greatly contributing to the healthy lives of local residents.
