Innovation Party for the Fatherland Commentary
7 Hours and 23 Minutes of Special Prosecutor's Investigation
"Request an Arrest Warrant Tomorrow," Urges the Party
On August 6, the Innovation Party for the Fatherland issued a statement regarding the special prosecutor's investigation of President Yoon Sukyeol's wife, Kim Gunhee, saying, "Today will be her last journey home."
Yoon Jaegwan, chief spokesperson for the Innovation Party for the Fatherland, stated in the commentary, "Seven hours and twenty-three minutes. Compared to the long five to six years it took to finally sit in the special prosecutor's office as a suspect, today's investigation time was only a fleeting moment. However, the historical significance of today's summons is grave, as it will serve as a foundation for restoring the rule of law and building a just democratic republic." He continued, "As she herself admitted, the entire Republic of Korea was deceived by an 'ordinary' civilian who happened to be the president's wife. The legal maneuvering and lenient investigations conducted by the prosecution during this process must also be thoroughly addressed."
Chief spokesperson Yoon asserted, "The era of greed is over. No matter how much she struggles, it will be in vain," adding, "Just as Yoon Sukyeol was utterly ruined by a series of betrayals that began with Kim Taehyo and Kim Sunghoon, those close to her, such as Lee Jongho and Kim Yesung, will also betray her, leading to her downfall."

He continued, "Now, there is only one path left for Kim Gunhee. Today will be her last journey home, and she will no longer enjoy the comfort of air conditioning. She will have to get used to electric fans and often settle for rough meals soaked in broth just to get by." Chief spokesperson Yoon also called on the Min Jungki special prosecutor team, which is currently investigating Kim Gunhee, saying, "Tomorrow, we hope you will request an arrest warrant for Kim Gunhee and deliver the news to the public that delayed justice has finally been served."
Meanwhile, Kim Gunhee left for home ten hours after reviewing the investigation records.
