Scoliosis, Vision, Hearing, and Blood Pressure Screening, etc.
Muju County in North Jeolla Province announced on August 6 that it will conduct a special comprehensive health checkup for children eligible for the Dream Start program at Muju Public Health Medical Center until August 14.
The three-week health checkup, which began on July 25, was launched to help children enjoy a healthy summer vacation and further support their customized growth.
The checkup includes a comprehensive health examination covering basic physical development tests such as scoliosis screening, vision and hearing tests, and blood pressure measurement, as well as oral examinations, urinalysis, blood tests, and tuberculosis screening.
In particular, the program focuses on the early detection and prevention of health issues that commonly occur in growing children, and, if necessary, will also provide tailored health management plans.
Kim Wansik, head of the Social Welfare Division of Muju County, stated, "Health management is essential for Dream Start children to play actively and nurture their dreams," adding, "We will spare no effort in supporting our children so that they can grow up healthy through this opportunity."
