Yeongdeok 'Goraebul Beach Festival' Lights Up the Summer Night!

From Trot Performances to Baekhap Clam Picking Experience
Special Memories for Tourists, New Vitality for the Local Community

The 2025 Goraebul Beach Festival, held at Goraebul Beach in Byeonggok-myeon, Yeongdeok County on August 2, 2025, was a great success.

This event, held on a special stage at Goraebul Beach, began with a pre-ceremony performance by the Yeongdeok Women's Choir. It featured a variety of programs that lit up the summer night, including a beach singing contest with both tourists and local residents, celebratory performances by trot singers Kang Yujin and Ha Yubi?both former participants of Miss Trot?and a DJ party for the MZ Generation.

There was also a "clam picking experience," where participants could collect Baekhap clams, a specialty product of Byeonggok-myeon, and an event where visitors could sample dishes made with these clams for free. Both activities received an enthusiastic response.

Lee Jinwoo, head of the Goraebul Beach Operations Committee, said, "I would like to thank the many tourists who visited the beautiful Goraebul Beach, also known as '20-ri of white sand.' We will continue to prepare a variety of programs that both local residents and visitors can enjoy together."

Kim Kwangyeol, the county governor, stated, "We will do our best to present unique content that can only be enjoyed at Goraebul Beach every year, so that we can offer special memories to tourists and bring new vitality to the local economy."
