On August 5, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the inauguration ceremony for the '7th Jeollanam-do Youth Voice' at the Shinan Beach Hotel in Mokpo, officially launching its activities.

Youth Voice is a youth policy council established to encourage youth participation in provincial administration, including policy proposals and gathering opinions from young people. Since its launch in 2014, a total of 610 members have participated across six previous terms.

The 7th term consists of 55 young people from various fields, including city and county youth councils, self-employed individuals, office workers, farmers, and students. Their term will last until July 13, 2027.

The inauguration ceremony included presentations of outstanding examples of Jeonnam-style youth villages, the selection and appointment of executive members, and the sharing of excellent youth case studies. In addition, there was networking among the youth and a performance wishing for the successful attraction of the Jeonnam RE100 National Industrial Complex, which drew particular attention.

The committee members who attended the ceremony commented, "Although each young person faces different circumstances, we all share a longing to live in Jeonnam," and added, "We hope that the opinions we have presented will be reflected in actual policies."

Kim Yung-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, stated, "The fact that young people are strengthening their willingness to participate and taking the lead in implementing provincial policies marks the beginning of a powerful transformation and a bold first step," and added, "We will implement meticulous policies so that young people can stay in Jeonnam and enjoy a happy life."
