Namwon City to Recruit Food Truck Operators for Glocal Food Festival

Applications accepted until August 8... About 15 businesses to be selected

North Jeolla Province's Namwon City announced on August 5 that it is publicly recruiting food truck operators for the "Glocal Food Festival" to ensure the successful operation of the "2025 Namwon International Drone Festival with Robots" and to enhance visitor convenience.

The city will operate a food truck zone, a multicultural food zone, and a local food zone, where foods from various countries can be showcased in line with the international nature of the event.

This announcement is for the recruitment of food truck zone operators, with approximately 15 businesses to be selected. Any Korean or foreign resident in Korea who meets the business registration requirements, such as approval for vehicle structure modification, is eligible to apply.

Participants are required to offer creative menus featuring foods from around the world or dishes that suit the festival atmosphere. The price for each menu item must not exceed 10,000 won. Reasonable pricing is required, and factors such as hygiene, vehicle design, and management of cooking facilities will also be included in the evaluation criteria.

Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on August 8. Interested parties can apply in person at the Drone Sports Team, New Growth Industry Division, 1st floor of the City Hall Annex, or by email.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Namwon International Drone Festival will be held for four days from October 16 to 19 at the Namwon Sports Town complex. This is the largest convergence festival in Korea, where visitors can experience cutting-edge drone technology and the robotics industry in one place.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "The 2025 Namwon International Drone Festival is a festival where technology and culture converge. Through the operation of food trucks, we expect to revitalize the local economy and create a venue for global food culture exchange. We hope to see the active participation of creative and passionate food truck operators."
