A man in his 50s, who was being pursued by the police on suspicion of killing his girlfriend and an acquaintance in succession, died after falling from a bridge in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.
According to the South Gyeongsang Provincial Police Agency and others on August 5, at around 5:19 p.m. on August 4, a man identified as A fell from the Machang Bridge in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon.
The Changwon Coast Guard responded to the report and rescued A, but he was already deceased.
On the day of the incident, at around 1:00 p.m., A is believed to have killed his girlfriend, a woman in her 50s identified as B, with a weapon in an apartment in Gimhae. Then, at around 3:00 p.m., he allegedly killed an acquaintance, a woman identified as C, in a villa in Jinhae-gu, Changwon.
After committing the two murders, A contacted his family and told them to check his will.
As a result, A's family reported the incident to the police. While the police were pursuing A, he jumped into the sea from Machang Bridge.
The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crimes, including conducting a forensic analysis of A's mobile phone.
