A woman believed to be the illegitimate daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin has posted a message on social media apparently targeting Putin and has voiced criticism against him.
According to the British daily The Times on August 4 (local time), Elizaveta Krivonogikh posted a selfie on her Telegram channel, writing, "I feel liberated to be able to show my face to the world again." She continued, "It reminds me of who I was born as, and who destroyed my life," adding, "That person took the lives of millions and destroyed my life as well."
This post, shared on the Telegram channel 'Art of Luiza,' was first reported by the German daily Bild. Bild noted that although Krivonogikh did not mention a name directly, the context suggests that she was referring to President Putin.
Krivonogikh is believed to have been born in 2003 to President Putin and a woman named Svetlana Krivonogikh. Svetlana, who was reportedly a cleaner, later became a shareholder of Bank Rossiya, and as of 2020, her assets were estimated to be worth $100 million. She also acquired a luxury apartment of about 200 square meters in Monte Carlo, which offers views of the principality's port and large yachts.
In addition, she owns a ski resort north of Saint Petersburg, a cultural center in Saint Petersburg, and a 39-meter superyacht.
Krivonogikh, who was active under the pseudonym 'Rudnova,' attracted attention in June when it was revealed that she was working as a student intern at 'Studio Albatros' and 'L Gallery' in Paris, France, both known for anti-war art exhibitions. At the time, the operating company 'L Association' of the two art museums acknowledged her employment but stated, "We cannot confirm whether she is Putin's daughter. It is true that she resembles Putin, but there are more than a few people who do."
