Production of "Living in Daejeon" Content
on the YouTube Channel "Daejeon TV"
The YouTube content series "Living in Daejeon," which vividly conveys the charm and pride of the city as experienced by its residents in their daily lives, is drawing attention.
This series, featured on the official YouTube channel "Daejeon TV," shifts away from the traditional institution-led promotional approach and instead focuses on allowing actual Daejeon citizens to authentically share the city's appeal and their sense of pride as experienced in their own lives.
Citizens of various ages and professions appear on the show to share stories from their everyday lives. The content includes a child enjoying a game at Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark, a middle school student nurturing dreams in a library, a resident riding Tashu along the city's three major streams, a homemaker working hard to achieve entrepreneurial success, and a foreign researcher studying basic science at a research complex. Each participant shares their unique perspective on why they love Daejeon.
The series has been uploaded regularly every Tuesday and Friday since the first week of July. So far, nine episodes have been released, and the videos have accumulated over 400,000 views in just one month.
Lee Jangwoo, the mayor of Daejeon, stated, "Stories of life told directly by citizens have a greater impact than any promotional slogan," and added, "I hope the voices of citizens living in Daejeon will help spread the true value of Daejeon as a world-class city to a wider audience."
