To Be Held at Changsin Elementary School Playground on the 15th of This Month
Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor: Chung Moonheon) will hold the "Traveling Jongno Concert" to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th of this month at the Changsin Elementary School playground. This event has been organized to reflect on the historical significance of Liberation Day and to create a meaningful celebration in which all residents can participate together.
The scene from last November's "Autumn Romantic Jongno Family Concert," held using a wing body truck as the stage. Provided by Jongno-gu.
The stage will feature Ham Shinik and the Symphony S.O.N.G Orchestra, tenor Shin Sanggeun, soprano Lee Minjeong, and the 56th Infantry Division Military Band. More than 40 orchestra members will perform beautiful melodies on a mobile stage set up on a wing truck. Attendees will also be able to watch a grand parade by the military band members.
In addition, there will be a time for the audience to participate directly by singing the national anthem and the Liberation Day song together, further emphasizing the meaning of Liberation Day. Approximately 500 local residents, including students and parents from Changsin Elementary School, are expected to attend.
Chung Moonheon, Mayor of Jongno-gu, stated, "On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, I hope this event will serve as an opportunity to remember the noble sacrifices and dedication of those who served the country and to bring all Jongno-gu residents together in harmony through music."
