August 4 to September 3, Online and Offline Applications Accepted
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Headquarters (Director: So Yoo-seop) will hold an open call for the '2026 KHNP Support Project' from August 4 to September 3.
The KHNP Support Project is a program implemented by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, the operator of nuclear power plants, using its own budget since 2006. It is carried out in accordance with the 'Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants' to promote economic revitalization and improve the welfare of residents in areas surrounding power plants.
The 2026 budget for the Saeul Headquarters KHNP Support Project totals 11.264 billion won, and the open call covers six areas: △ education and scholarship programs △ regional economic cooperation projects △ environmental improvement projects △ local welfare programs △ regional culture promotion projects △ other support projects.
In particular, next year, the focus will be on supporting and promoting projects that stimulate the regional economy and provide universal welfare programs that residents can directly benefit from.
Starting this year, an online application system has been fully introduced for the convenience of applicants, while the existing offline submission method will also be available. In addition, to enhance local residents' understanding of the support project and encourage participation, a resident briefing session will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 13 in the large conference room on the third floor of the Administrative Welfare Center in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun.
Detailed information about the open call can be found on the Saeul Nuclear Headquarters website (Community - KHNP Support Project - Support Project Resources) or on the Ulju-gun Office website.
