Plans to Expand into Overseas Markets Including Vietnam
Woongjin Thinkbig announced on August 4 that it is launching the Japanese version of its metaverse-based English speaking service, 'Lingocity', as part of its strategy to target the global English education market.
With the release of the Japanese version of Lingocity, Woongjin Thinkbig will formally enter the Japanese English conversation education market for preschoolers and elementary school students. The company also plans to accelerate its global expansion by extending the service to countries with high demand for English learning, such as Vietnam.
Woongjin Thinkbig announced on the 4th that it will target the global English education market by launching the Japanese version of 'Lingocity'.
For customers who sign up for the Japanese version, a welcome coupon offering a 10% discount on the payment amount will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, the company will focus on attracting overseas customers by conducting promotional and marketing activities through local influencers in the kids and education sectors, as well as through social networking services (SNS) and YouTube.
Lingocity, launched by Woongjin Thinkbig last year, allows users to travel through major cities around the world recreated in a metaverse environment and engage in real-time conversations with AI NPCs, enabling immersive conversation learning. Lingocity was developed with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT and received the Minister's Award from the Ministry of Science and ICT last year and again this year.
