Pohang Reborn as a Healing Travel Destination... First Episode Airs on August 2
Promoting Songdo Beach, Railroad Forest, and Yeonorangsaeonyeo Theme Park
On August 2, the city of Pohang participated as a major filming location for key episodes of the Channel A drama "We Will Travel For You," which aired its first episode that day. Through this, Pohang aims to promote its local tourism resources nationwide and strengthen its position as a hub city for K-dramas.
"We Will Travel For You" is a healing travel drama based on the Japanese novel "Tabiya, Okaeri." The series tells the story of a "proxy travel service" that embarks on journeys on behalf of people who find it difficult to travel themselves, delivering messages of healing, empathy, and overcoming emotional wounds.
Each episode unfolds heartwarming stories set against various regions, offering comfort to viewers weary from everyday life.
The episodes set in Pohang are scheduled to air in episodes 4 (August 10) and 5 (August 16). Major tourist attractions in Pohang, such as Songdo Beach, Guryongpo Beach, the Railroad Forest, Yeonorangsaeonyeo Theme Park, Mount Gonryun, and raw fish restaurants in Yeonam-dong, will appear as key backdrops.
The natural integration of Pohang's scenery and atmosphere into the drama is expected to vividly convey the charm of the region to viewers.
Previously, dramas such as "When the Camellia Blooms" (2019), "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" (2021), and "My Perfect Secretary" (2025) were also filmed in Pohang, gaining great popularity and contributing to the influx of tourists and the enhancement of the city's image. This latest production is also expected to have a positive effect on tourism revitalization and the improvement of the city's brand value through synergy with drama content.
An official from Pohang City stated, "'We Will Travel For You' is more than just a drama; it delivers the meaning of travel and a message of healing. We hope that this broadcast will help Pohang be recognized as a city people want to visit and a memorable travel destination."
The drama is being broadcast not only on Channel A but also on OTT platforms such as Netflix and Tving, further expanding its reach to both domestic and international viewers.
