Kia is recalling approximately 200,000 units of its large sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Telluride, in the United States.
According to foreign media reports on August 1 (local time), the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Kia will recall 201,149 Telluride vehicles.
NHTSA stated that the reason for the recall is the possibility that the door belt molding (the rubber trim between the vehicle's window and door) may crack or separate from the body of the vehicle.
NHTSA also announced on July 28 that 100,063 units of the 2023 to 2025 model year Kia K5 will be recalled due to the risk of separation of the trim parts on both sides of the rear window.
