Kim Byungki: "With Great Joy, I Handed Over the Party Flag to Jeong Cheongrae"

Kim Byungki, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, congratulated Jeong Cheongrae on his election as the new party leader and stated, "We will firmly support the Lee Jaemyung administration with unity and solidarity."

On August 2, Kim Byungki posted on Facebook under the title "With the New Leadership, We Will Devote Ourselves to the Success of the Lee Jaemyung Administration," saying, "With great joy, I handed over the party flag to Party Leader Jeong Cheongrae."

Kim Byungki said, "We are united under the name of the Democratic Party, and our goal is also one. We must vigorously move forward toward the success of both the Lee Jaemyung administration and all the people." He further emphasized, "The Democratic Party can do it."

He stated, "I witnessed a strong determination in the acceptance speech of the party leader," and added, "I will firmly support him."

Kim Byungki concluded, "I will fully focus on the original duties of the floor leader," and said, "I will fulfill my role in the National Assembly, including legislation for the complete end of internal strife and the recovery of the people's economy."

Meanwhile, Kim Byungki also offered words of consolation to Park Chandae, who competed against Jeong Cheongrae in the party leadership race. He said, "I would like to express my consolation and gratitude to candidate Park Chandae, who competed splendidly with a bright smile until the very end," and added, "Thanks to the sweat and passion of the candidates, a truly Democratic Party-style election was achieved."
