Enhancing Creative Communication Skills
On August 1, the city of Pohang held a Communication Day event to enhance the media literacy and creative communication skills of the 9th Homemaker Reporters Group and Children Reporters Group.

On this day, the reporters participated in various programs, including a tour of the Pohang MBC Broadcasting Station, a visit to the Poeun Heunghae Library, and an experience program at the Pohang Earthquake Trauma Center, making it a meaningful occasion.
In the morning, the reporters visited the broadcasting station to observe the production process firsthand. In the afternoon, they toured the library and experienced Pohang's cultural infrastructure. At the Pohang Earthquake Trauma Center, they took part in disaster safety education and psychological recovery programs, which helped raise their awareness of disaster response capabilities and mental health.
Yang Yejun, a member of the 9th Pohang Children Reporters Group, shared, "Through this Communication Day event, I had the opportunity to experience various cultures by visiting the broadcasting station, library, and trauma center. I would like to continue activities that introduce Pohang's unique places and the importance of safety and health to my friends."
The 9th Pohang Homemaker & Children Reporters Group plans to continue their active coverage of various sites throughout Pohang, including local festivals, events, attractions, and news from schools and neighborhoods, until February next year.
A city official stated, "We are grateful to the reporters group for playing a significant role as communication messengers who deliver information about local culture, policies, and daily life to citizens," and added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for field experiences and exchanges so that we can deliver vivid news from all over Pohang."
