More than ten members of the Yangsan City Women's Association gathered from the afternoon of the previous day to purchase and prepare ingredients, and then worked together from early in the morning to prepare side dishes such as young radish kimchi and stir-fried anchovies for residents in the flood-affected area.

After hearing about the flood damage in the village, the members visited Yulhyeon Village in Sindeung-myeon, Sancheong County and delivered the side dishes they had prepared themselves.

The Yangsan City Women's Association is a coalition of 13 women's organizations in the Yangsan region. The association has been at the forefront of promoting women's welfare, expanding social participation, and engaging in volunteer work. Through this volunteer activity, they demonstrated their strong commitment to sharing directly and working together with the local community.

Shin Mo (76), a flood-affected resident of Sindeung-myeon, said, "My house was completely washed away by the heavy rain, and I have been staying at the village hall for fifteen days. Both my body and mind have been exhausted, but I am so grateful to receive these carefully prepared side dishes."

President Jeon Jeongae stated, "Upon hearing that many people are going through difficult times due to the torrential rain, we decided to carry out this side dish sharing volunteer activity to offer some help. I hope the elders in the village can enjoy a warm meal with the side dishes we prepared and quickly return to their daily lives."

Lee Hyunju, Director of Welfare at Yangsan City, said, "The warm hearts and firm convictions shown by the members of the Yangsan City Women's Association will help the community overcome this crisis and strengthen our sense of community."
