Collaboration with Audience Media Center for Full Video Production Experience
Linked to Ethiopia Exploration in November

The Gyeongsang Education Donation Hub Support Center at Pukyong National University (Director: Lee Sanggil) collaborated with the Gyeongnam Audience Media Center of the Korea Media Foundation to run a video production experience program titled "Me too! YouTube Creator!" for upper-grade students at Geumban Elementary School in Hamyang from July 30 for three days.

This program was organized based on the memorandum of understanding signed by the two institutions in May, with the aim of providing elementary school students in remote island and mountain areas, who have limited access to media, with the opportunity to experience the entire process of video production. It was also designed to connect with the upcoming "Ethiopia Backpack Career Exploration" scheduled for November.

The education consisted of a total of six sessions, covering: understanding the concepts and roles of media; methods for selecting reliable information; video planning and filming; and basic editing practice. The students developed their media literacy skills by planning and producing video content themselves. They also pre-planned local interviews and video topics for the exploration program, which heightened their anticipation for career exploration activities.

Director Lee Sanggil stated, "It was a meaningful time for Geumban Elementary School students to directly experience media production, which they rarely encounter," and added, "We will continue to expand media education donation programs in cooperation with various institutions to support students' career exploration."

Since its establishment in 2023, designated by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, the Gyeongsang Education Donation Hub Support Center at Pukyong National University has been operating customized education donation programs for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students in the Gyeongsang region (Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, Gyeongbuk). The center contributes to reducing educational disparities and spreading a culture of social donation.
