Attempted Parricide Charge
Police Investigate Possible Involvement of Daughter
It has been revealed that the son-in-law was also involved in the crime of a woman in her 50s who attempted to murder her husband by severing his genitalia, allegedly due to suspicions of infidelity.
On August 1, Incheon Ganghwa Police Station announced that they had urgently arrested a man in his 30s, identified as B, the son-in-law of A (a 57-year-old woman who was previously arrested on charges of attempted murder), on charges of attempted parricide.
A is accused of attempting to murder her husband, C, a man in his 50s, by cutting off his genitalia with a weapon at a cafe in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, around 1 a.m. on this day.
B, who was present at the scene, is suspected of participating in A's attempted murder by restraining C.
Based on the victim's statement, the police requested B to appear at the police station, confirmed his involvement in the crime, and subsequently arrested him.
The police also plan to investigate whether A's daughter was involved in the crime.
C was transported to the hospital and is receiving treatment after emergency responders arrived following the report. Fortunately, his life is not in danger.
During the police investigation, A reportedly claimed, "I committed the crime because I suspected my husband of infidelity."
The cafe where the crime occurred is C's residence, and at the time of the incident, only the two suspects and C were present inside.
It is reported that B is currently denying the charges.
The police plan to investigate the details of the incident further once the victim has received treatment.
