Huons Team Wins Excellence and Encouragement Awards

Huons announced on August 1 that the Huons team received the Excellence Award and the Encouragement Award at the '2025 Pharmacy Student Pharmaceutical Marketing Internship' achievement presentation.

The '2025 Pharmacy Student Pharmaceutical Marketing Internship' is a marketing program designed to provide practical experience opportunities for pharmacy students interested in pharmaceutical marketing, out of approximately 10,000 pharmacy students. The program was co-hosted by the Korea Pharmacy Student Association and Smahill, with support from three companies: Huons, Osstem Pharma, and Coapharmbio.


Students participating in the internship formed dedicated teams of 12 members for each of the three companies and worked for approximately four weeks. The Huons team began with a kick-off ceremony on July 2 and developed and executed a marketing strategy for the 'Nizoral' product. Each group conducted research on the Nizoral brand and diseases related to seborrheic dermatitis, discussed product ingredients, target strategies, and brand positioning, and carried out promotional activities through social networking services (SNS).


After completing four weeks of practical missions, the internship participants presented their results on July 31. All participating interns received certificates of completion.


The Huons team gave a presentation on the Nizoral brand based on the practical missions they had carried out. In particular, Team 2 of the Huons team developed a marketing plan emphasizing 'the nation's dandruff shampoo & body wash' based on a systematic survey targeting people in their 20s and 30s. As a result, they received high marks for their practical marketing strategy and were awarded the Excellence Award.


A Huons representative said, "This provided an opportunity to deliver accurate information about Nizoral and related diseases such as seborrheic dermatitis to the younger generation," and added, "We hope that the students will continue to build a good relationship with the Nizoral brand based on the understanding and experience they gained through the internship."


Meanwhile, Nizoral is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that can treat dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and tinea versicolor. It has been safely used for over 30 years worldwide, including in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America. According to the pharmaceutical market research agency IQVIA, it ranked first in sales among over-the-counter dermatological antifungal agents in South Korea for eight consecutive years (2017?2024). In particular, Nizoral 2% can be used not only on the scalp but also on the entire body. It allows comprehensive care for areas where seborrheic dermatitis frequently occurs, such as the chest and back, with a single product.
