Establishing Itself as a City of Memorable Emotional Journeys
In celebration of the vacation season, the city has strengthened nighttime content around the Gwanghallu Garden area under the theme "Enjoy Namwon Summer at Nighttime Hotspots," welcoming travelers.
The highlight of these offerings is undoubtedly the "Moonlight Garden Sentimental Night Tour." The night view of Gwanghallu Garden has long been a beloved symbol of Namwon, but its atmosphere becomes even more profound at night. Soft lighting envelops the elegant pavilion, and the interplay of wind and light between the pavilion and the pond creates a serene romance rarely found in urban settings.
The gentle nighttime illumination along the Yocheon Stream enriches Namwon's nightscape, stirring the emotions of visitors. Additionally, various small yet memorable nighttime attractions are placed throughout Gwanghallu Garden, enhancing its appeal as a "garden to linger and appreciate," beyond simply a place to walk or stay.
Tourist information centers set up at Gwanghallu Garden and other major tourist sites are operated as "Impression Information Centers," providing customized services such as recommending content tailored to different travel styles and guiding visitors to photo zones.
At the Gwanghallu Garden Guide House, visitors can find a cooling rest area with air conditioning, fan benches, and mobile phone charging zones, offering a comfortable space to escape the summer heat. The city is also focusing on improving the environment for longer stays.
In cooperation with the fire department and the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, the city is conducting joint safety inspections of accommodations and campsites, thoroughly preparing to ensure that visitors can stay in Namwon with peace of mind.
Mayor Choi Kyungshik stated, "This summer, Namwon is establishing itself not just as a summer vacation destination, but as a travel city remembered for its emotional resonance," adding, "The gentle lights of Gwanghallu Garden and the thoughtful hospitality at the tourist information centers make each day in Namwon truly special."
