Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) signed the 'Fair Labor-Management and Multiple Union Solution' on July 31 to integrate its multiple unions.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the corporation, the first union?Busan Metropolitan Corporation Branch of the Korean Public Service and Transport Workers' Union, the second union?Busan Metropolitan Corporation Arpina Union, and officials from the Busan Regional Labor Relations Commission.
The Arpina Union was established in March 2023 to protect the rights and interests of operational staff members after the corporation re-acquired the youth hostel Arpina from the Busan Tourism Organization in December 2021.
The two unions have continuously discussed the establishment of a stable and efficient labor-management cooperation system and officially confirmed their integration at the second quarter labor-management council held in June this year.
President Shin Changho stated, "The signing of this solution will serve as a turning point for building a mutually beneficial labor-management relationship by uniting the voices of our members," and added, "We will do our utmost to enhance the protection of the rights and interests of all employees."
