Lee Sunyoung, a prominent announcer at KBS, is leaving the network after 20 years of service.
On July 31, Lee Sunyoung announced her resignation through her Instagram account, stating, "As of today, I am leaving KBS, which has been with me for half of my life."
In a lengthy post she shared, she wrote, "I am letting go of the work I loved and stepping outside the comfort I once relied on. I intend to walk my own path slowly and steadfastly, in a new way." She also expressed her gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank everyone who supported me as an announcer and gave me more love than I deserved."
Following the news of Lee Sunyoung's resignation, her colleagues also offered their support. Broadcaster Park Seulgi commented, "I look forward to your third and fourth acts in life?they will be even more wonderful. Fighting!" Comedian Shim Jinhwa also expressed her encouragement, saying, "I wholeheartedly support your new beginning."
Lee Sunyoung joined KBS in 2005 as part of the 31st open recruitment. She hosted entertainment programs such as 'Family Entertainment Center' and 'Entertainment Weekly' in 2008, and from 2021 until recently, she served as the host of the KBS 2TV cultural program 'Live Info.'
