Financial Support Measures Including Special Debt Reduction Implemented
Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on August 1 that it had donated 50 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to support the recovery efforts in areas affected by nationwide heavy rainfall and to assist flood victims.
This donation was raised voluntarily by KAMCO employees and will be used through the Community Chest of Korea to support on-site recovery in the affected areas, as well as to provide daily necessities and relief supplies for flood victims.
KAMCO plans to provide financial support to KAMCO and National Happiness Fund debtors who have been confirmed as victims in special disaster areas due to the recent heavy rainfall. This support will include special debt reduction and repayment deferment, suspension of the sale of seized properties, and reduction of national property rental fees.
Jung Junghoon, President of KAMCO, stated, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the residents who have lost their homes and suffered great damage due to the recent heavy rainfall," and added, "KAMCO employees will continue to make every effort to provide practical support for the recovery of affected areas and to help stabilize the lives of those who have been displaced."
