Historical Education Program for Families in Celebration of Liberation Day
The Uiseong Jomunguk Museum in Uiseong County, North Gyeongsang Province, is hosting a historical experience event titled "Making My Own History Clock" for children and families in celebration of Liberation Day.
This event will take place on August 10 and 24, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the museum's Family Culture Experience Room.
The program is designed for children aged five and above, up to sixth grade in elementary school, as well as their families. Participants will create and decorate their own clocks with the theme of independence activists. Through this hands-on activity, they will go beyond simple crafting to learn about the lives and achievements of historical figures and reflect on the significance of Liberation Day.
Families wishing to participate can register through the Uiseong County integrated reservation website or by phone. Only 25 participants are accepted per session on a first-come, first-served basis, and the participation fee is 5,000 won.
Kim Jusu, the governor of Uiseong County, stated, "This program was designed so that children can have fun participating in the experience while naturally learning about the dedication of those who served the country. I hope it will be an opportunity to reflect on the historical significance of Liberation Day and create meaningful memories with family."
This experience event combines historical education with play, aiming to instill historical values and patriotism in children while also expanding opportunities for family cultural experiences during the summer vacation period.
