Public officials from the Chungnam Provincial Government have voluntarily collected and donated 16,680,000 KRW to support residents affected by the recent heavy rainfall.

On July 31, a donation ceremony was held at the provincial government’s reception room, attended by Governor Kim Tae-heum, Choi Jeonghee, Chairperson of the Chungnam Provincial Government Employees’ Labor Union, and Yoo Byeongseol, Secretary General of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea, among others.

The donated funds will be used through the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea to aid in residential restoration, livelihood support, and the recovery of daily life for residents.

Governor Kim expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the staff not only for their support at the disaster recovery sites but also for taking the lead in fundraising. I hope this warm solidarity and sharing will bring great comfort to the affected residents.”

Chairperson Choi Jeonghee also stated, “I hope this donation will offer a small ray of hope to those affected. I ask that many people join in helping their neighbors.”

Meanwhile, the province is conducting a ‘Special Fundraising for Heavy Rain Damage’ through the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea account (Nonghyup 301-0237-3818-01, Account Holder: Community Chest of Korea Chungnam) until August 17.
