The torrential rain caused roads in the Bupyeong-ri area of Jinjeop-eup to collapse, creating an emergency in which more than 90 households, including factories and small business owners, were isolated.

Additionally, the scale of the damage was significant, with 24 public facilities and 66 private properties affected.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok immediately visited the site after the damage occurred to inspect the situation in person and ordered a prompt response.

The deputy mayor was assigned overall command at the site, and an emergency restoration system was activated with the top priority placed on urgent repairs and stabilizing the lives of residents.

The restoration work involved a total of 624 people, including Army personnel and 18 organizations such as the Jinjeop-eup Community Safety Network, the Voluntary Disaster Prevention Corps, the Village Leaders' Council, and the Volunteer Center, who participated voluntarily to help quickly normalize the affected area.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "This restoration is an exemplary case where cooperation among the public sector, private sector, and military truly shined. I deeply thank the citizens, military personnel, and volunteers who participated so devotedly. Moving forward, I will further strengthen on-site leadership and communication with citizens to make Namyangju City even safer."

Namyangju City plans to further develop a rapid on-site response system led by the mayor and a cooperative system among the public sector, private sector, and military, based on the experience gained from this disaster response.
