Support for 100 Elderly Households Living Alone in Five Towns of Gijang-gun, Busan
Cooling Blankets Worth 5 Million Won Provided
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Sangwook) donated 100 cooling blankets to elderly people living alone in the areas surrounding the power plant on July 30, as part of the 'KHNP Emergency Support for Climate-Vulnerable Groups' initiative.
This donation was organized to protect the livelihood and health of elderly people living alone in the region during the summer, as the risk of heat-related illnesses has increased due to consecutive days of record-breaking heat waves. The donated items will be delivered to 100 households of elderly people living alone in five towns and townships in Gijang-gun, through the Community Chest of Korea and the Gijang-gun Office.
Lee Sangwook, Director of Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, "Through this KHNP emergency support for climate-vulnerable groups, I hope that local seniors will be able to overcome the heat wave safely," and added, "Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to carry out support activities that provide practical help for the stability of local residents' lives."
