Pyeongtaek City announced on July 31 that the new airport bus will depart from Pyeongtaek Intercity Bus Terminal, pass through Pyeongtaek University and Gongdo District, and travel to Cheongju Airport.
Until now, there was no direct bus route from Pyeongtaek to Cheongju Airport, so travelers had to use private cars or make complicated transfers.
The airport bus will initially operate three times a day, with plans to gradually increase the service to five times a day.
The airport bus will run at 7:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. The fare for adults is 11,900 won from Pyeongtaek Intercity Bus Terminal to Cheongju Airport, and 11,000 won from Pyeongtaek University to Cheongju Airport.
Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jangsun said, "With the opening of the airport bus, citizens can now use the airport more conveniently," and added, "We will continue to expand various public transportation routes to enhance transportation convenience for our citizens."
