Selected for 'Open Tourism Destination Development Project'... Secured 1 Billion KRW
The Open Tourism Destination Development Project was selected as a 2023 Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism public project, securing a total budget of 1 billion KRW, including 500 million KRW in national funds.

At the Dongho Beach National Leisure Camping Site, three barrier-free camping sites were established, along with the creation of a barrier-free path and ramp. Facilities such as restrooms and showers were also remodeled for accessibility. In the future, the county plans to provide water wheelchairs so that the tourism-vulnerable can participate in water activities.
At the Bokbunja Recreation Area, two barrier-free camping sites were set up, and facilities such as restrooms and cooking areas were improved, allowing the tourism-vulnerable to conveniently use the tourism facilities. The familiarization tour included 15 participants from various types of tourism-vulnerable groups, who checked the accessibility for people with disabilities, as well as the convenience and safety of accommodations.
Choi Soonpil, head of the county’s World Heritage Division, said, "By inviting people from various professions and promoting the beautiful tourist destinations of Gochang, I hope that the upcoming 52nd Gochang Moyangseong Festival, along with other Gochang tourism festivals, will become a stepping stone to provide satisfaction to people from diverse backgrounds."
