Reimbursement Event to Be Held at Masan Gagopa Fishery Market

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will hold an Onnuri gift certificate reimbursement event at Masan Gagopa Fishery Market from August 1 to August 5, 2025, in celebration of the summer vacation season. The event will run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

"Revitalizing Traditional Markets: Changwon Special City Boosts Economy with Onnuri Gift Certificate Reimbursement Event" Changwon Special City Hall.

This event has been organized to promote the consumption of seafood during the summer vacation period and to help ease the burden of rising grocery prices for citizens. During the event, customers who purchase domestic seafood at traditional markets can receive a reimbursement of up to 30% (up to 20,000 won per person) in the form of Onnuri gift certificates.

This year, Onnuri gift certificates worth a total of 590 million won have been reimbursed over three separate events, receiving a positive response from citizens. The current event, with an allocation of 70 million won, is also expected to attract high interest and participation.

The reimbursement criteria remain the same as previous events: for purchases of 34,000 won or more but less than 67,000 won, customers will receive a reimbursement of 10,000 won; for purchases of 67,000 won or more, the reimbursement will be 20,000 won. During the event period, customers can receive reimbursement at the designated booth at any time by presenting a receipt for the purchase of domestic seafood. However, purchases made with Susaendaejeon gift certificates or those made at regular restaurants are not eligible for reimbursement.

The city will conduct frequent inspections to prevent fraudulent reimbursements and will thoroughly manage the event to ensure it is fair and transparent.

Cho Sungmin, Director of the Marine, Port and Fisheries Bureau, stated, "We hope this reimbursement event will encourage smart shopping at traditional markets, reduce the burden of summer prices, and help boost seafood consumption."
