Yeongju City Raises Monthly Purchase Limit for Yeongju Sarang Gift Certificate to 700,000 Won

Temporary Increase for August Only
10% Bonus Benefit Remains

Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province will raise the monthly purchase limit for the Yeongju Sarang Gift Certificate (mobile version) from the current 400,000 won to 700,000 won starting August 1, in order to expand citizens' purchasing power and promote the circulation of funds within the region.

This measure has been prepared as a special policy to stimulate consumption in the second half of the year and to boost sales in local commercial districts. The 10% bonus benefit provided upon purchase of the gift certificate will remain unchanged.

When using the mobile gift certificate, the maximum monthly bonus amount will increase from 40,000 won to 70,000 won, providing greater benefits to consumers. However, for the paper version of the gift certificate, only the existing 200,000 won monthly limit and the 10% discount benefit will apply.

The gift certificates can be easily purchased through the 'Chak Local Gift Certificate' app and can be used at local affiliated stores via QR code payment or Yeongju Sarang Gift Certificate card payment. The increased purchase limit may end early if the budget is exhausted.

Jung Kyowan, head of the Yeongju City Job and Economy Division, said, "The Yeongju Sarang Gift Certificate is a policy tool that provides real support for promoting local consumption and increasing sales for small business owners," and added, "We expect that this increase in the purchase limit will deliver tangible benefits to both citizens and merchants."
