Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on the 28th that it actively promoted local agricultural and specialty products by participating in the '2025 Local Contents Festa' held at BEXCO in Busan for three days from the 25th to the 27th.
At this event, the county introduced the Hometown Love Donation Program, which supports regional development, as well as the Gokseong Mall online shopping platform. Okgwa Nonghyup promoted the region’s premium agricultural products, including black glutinous corn and Brainmi rice. Ddakjeongne Agricultural Cooperative Corporation focused on marketing its flagship products, such as grain syrup and soybean paste, in an effort to enhance Gokseong’s external recognition.
A county official stated, "This Local Contents Festa was a valuable opportunity to directly introduce Gokseong’s agricultural and specialty products, as well as our policies, to urban residents," adding, "We will continue to pursue various initiatives to enhance Gokseong’s brand value and invigorate the local economy."
Meanwhile, the county is participating in various expos, including those in the greater Seoul area, to raise external awareness of the region and promote the excellence of its agricultural and specialty products.
