On July 28, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the entrance ceremony for the 14th Jeonnam Acting Camp with Choi Soo-jong at the Gwangyang Culture and Arts Center, and that the camp will be held for six days until August 2 at the Chusan Experimental Forest of Seoul National University's Southern Forest Research Institute.

This camp, hosted by Jeollanam-do and organized by the Jeonnam Film Commission, is a one-on-one customized experiential program that combines theory and practice for 50 middle and high school students interested in acting and video production.

The students, who were selected through prior registration and screening, were assigned to five classes?acting, theater, musical, video production A, and video production B?based on a camera test. Each class will participate in a variety of educational programs, including scenario writing, filming, and editing practice. On the final day, a presentation of their works will be held.

At the acting camp, actor Choi Soo-jong, along with current actors and directors, will participate as mentors, providing not only acting advice but also sharing practical know-how based on their real-life experiences.

During the entrance ceremony, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, stated, "The acting camp is a special opportunity to experience fields such as acting and theater, which are not easily accessible," and added, "We will continue to provide opportunities for youth to discover their dreams and career paths by promoting the development and expansion of video culture."

The Jeonnam Acting Camp has been providing opportunities for youth to experience various aspects of video culture and explore career paths since 2011. A total of 590 participants have joined so far, and since 2023, the camp has expanded its participation to include youth from all 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
