Multicultural Children Experience Science Museum... Opportunity for Cultural Exchange Provided
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) has launched a social contribution program based on the expertise and interests of its employees.
On July 28, Busan Bank announced that its 'Talent Donation Volunteer Corps' officially began operations, with its first activities taking place across the region on July 26. The volunteer corps is a social contribution organization formed by the voluntary participation of employees, and it operates through five specialized teams: culture and arts, plogging and health, global, financial education, and digital IT.
The 'Culture and Arts Team' held a 'handmade soap and daily necessities making' activity for single-mother families at the Busan Bank headquarters on this day. Under the guidance of experts, employees and participating families created daily necessities together, fostering a sense of connection, and the finished products were delivered as gifts.
The 'Plogging and Health Team' conducted a 'plogging' activity, picking up litter in the Godangbong area of Geumjeongsan. They also carried out a financial fraud prevention campaign for citizens, sharing financial safety guidelines for everyday life.
The 'Global Team' visited the National Busan Science Museum with children and adolescents from multicultural families, participating in exhibition tours and science experience activities together. Busan Bank explained that this activity expanded opportunities for social belonging and cultural exchange for multicultural children.
In addition, Busan Bank continues to carry out educational volunteer activities. The 'Financial Education Team' has been running the 'Teen MaeKyung Test Education Program' for students of specialized high schools since July 19, and the 'Digital IT Team' provided education on smartphone use and voice phishing prevention for the elderly on July 12.
Kim Yonggyu, Head of Busan Bank's Management Strategy Group, emphasized, "The Talent Donation Volunteer Corps is not a one-time event, but a practical social contribution based on the expertise of our employees," adding, "We will continue activities that grow together with the local community while engaging with various groups."
