Korea Epson Signs MOU for Media Art Collaboration with Seoul Museum of Art

Film Screenings Begin in September
Utilizing High-Brightness Projectors

Korea Epson will collaborate with the Seoul Museum of Art on exhibition initiatives.


On July 28, Korea Epson announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Museum of Art for "sustainable cultural development," and will provide exhibition collaboration and solution support.


Through this agreement, Epson plans to supply products and solutions such as high-brightness 3LCD (high-resolution projector) projectors for major exhibitions organized by the Seoul Museum of Art. In particular, Epson's visual solutions are expected to play a significant role in immersive content and media art exhibitions, where demand is rapidly increasing.


The first collaborative exhibition between the two parties will be the "SMB13 × Frieze Film Seoul 2025" program, held on the rooftop of the Seoul Museum of Art from September 1 to September 4. Organized as a program linked to the 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale "Kangryeong: The Art of the Soul," the screening event is curated by the SMB13 artistic director team?Anton Vidokle, Harley Ayers, and Lukas Brasiskis. The program features works inspired by occultism, mysticism, and spiritual traditions, exploring transformations in life beyond the screen. Epson's high-brightness projector, the EB-L1755U NL, will be used in this exhibition to provide visitors with a vivid visual experience.

Subsequently, collaboration will continue with the opening exhibition of the Seoseoul Museum of Art, a branch of the Seoul Museum of Art, from November 4 to December 7. The Seoseoul Museum of Art, which will open in November, is a new media-specialized exhibition hall. Its opening exhibition, "SeMA Performance Breath," will showcase media art centered on the theme of connection among air, breath, and existence. Epson will provide a total of four high-brightness projectors?EB-1755U, EB-L1505UH, EB-L1505UH Champion, and one additional unit?to maximize the immersive experience of the exhibition and effectively convey the message of the artworks.
