Tested Positive for Ecstasy in Preliminary Test After Urgent Arrest
A man in his twenties was arrested by police after driving under suspicion of drug use and crashing into utility poles and walls.
On July 27, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that a man in his twenties, identified as Mr. A, was urgently arrested on charges including violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
According to the police, at around 4:30 p.m. the previous day, Mr. A is suspected of having driven after taking drugs in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and causing an accident by crashing into a utility pole and a wall.
Mr. A tested positive for ecstasy in a preliminary drug test conducted by the police.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, as well as the process of drug possession and whether he actually used the drugs.
