Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Namil) announced on July 27 that it has launched the 'Gyeongju Art Pass,' the nation's first integrated discount admission ticket for both art museums and museums.
The 'Gyeongju Art Pass' is a combined art pass that allows visitors to freely explore four of the region's leading art institutions?Solgeo Art Museum, Wooyang Art Museum, Place C, and Bulguksa Museum?at a discount of over 50%. The price is reduced from 37,000 won to 18,000 won.
The pass is designed to reduce the inconvenience of purchasing separate admission tickets and to connect Gyeongju's art spaces as a single journey.
In particular, this pass goes beyond being a simple discount ticket by offering a new viewing experience that bridges Gyeongju's traditional heritage and contemporary art. From ancient Buddhist art to modern abstract painting, it provides visitors to Gyeongju with the opportunity to enjoy an artistic stroll that encompasses both the past and the present.
Tickets can be purchased through major online platforms such as Naver, Coupang, KakaoTalk, Gmarket, Auction, 11st, Yeogiotte, Gyeongbuk Travel Mall, and Tour054, and the electronic ticket can be conveniently received via KakaoTalk.
Kim Namil, President of the Corporation, stated, "The Gyeongju Art Pass will serve as an opportunity for Gyeongju to reemerge as a city where tradition and modernity, art and tourism are integrated, beyond just a destination for historical sites," and added, "We will continue to develop sustainable tourism content through collaboration with local cultural and art institutions."
With international attention rising ahead of the upcoming APEC Summit in October, Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation aims to rebrand Gyeongju from an ancient capital of history to a capital of art through the launch of this art pass.
Launched on July 22, the Gyeongju Art Pass is expected to establish itself as an integrated platform that connects Gyeongju's art museums, museums, exhibition spaces, and ancient heritage into a single cultural network.
Meanwhile, those who purchase the Gyeongju Art Pass can enjoy free admission to Gyeongju Expo Grand Park, where the Solgeo Art Museum is located, without any additional charge.
