On the 25th (local time), Speaker Woo met with Senate President Mircea Abrudean at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania, and stated, "There is ample potential for cooperation between our two countries, particularly in the three strategic industries of defense, nuclear power, and infrastructure."

He continued, "The biggest concern for Korea is peace between South and North Korea. Despite being of the same ethnicity, dialogue has not been possible due to ongoing tensions between the two Koreas. I ask for strong support from the international community for Korea's policies aimed at easing tensions and promoting dialogue between the South and the North." In response, Senate President Abrudean said, "We will support peace on the Korean Peninsula," adding, "Romania also feels a significant threat from the war in Ukraine due to geopolitical reasons."

Senate President Abrudean said, "Thank you for discussing cooperation in the nuclear power and defense industries. I promise to provide support based on active cooperation," and added, "We will spare no effort to provide support based on cooperation in various fields."

On this day, Speaker Woo also held meetings with Chamber of Deputies Speaker Sorin Mihai Grindeanu and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. In addition, he held a roundtable with current and former Romanian lawmakers, including Robert Ionatan Sigiarteau, President of the Romania-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Association.

During his courtesy visit with Speaker Grindeanu, Speaker Woo emphasized the potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries, focusing on Constanta, one of the European Union's major port cities in Romania.

Speaker Woo said, "A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between Busan Port Authority and Constanta Port Authority regarding port development and operational cooperation, establishing a framework for cooperation," and requested, "I hope for your interest so that cooperation between the two countries can actively develop." Speaker Grindeanu responded, "Romania's logistics volume and investment in Korea will increase and proceed actively," and added, "In addition to various avenues of cooperation, I hope the friendly relations between the two countries will become even stronger."

At the Romania-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Association roundtable, discussions were held on the direction of development between the two countries, starting with the security industry.

Speaker Woo explained, "Korea's defense industry possesses excellent quality, the ability to meet delivery deadlines, and, above all, the capacity to contribute to Romania's security development through local production and technology sharing." President Sigiarteau of the association responded, "The National Assembly will take the lead in doing its utmost to enhance relations between Korea and Romania, and we hope that the results of this enhanced cooperation will lead to increased trade in the economic, industrial, and cultural sectors."
