Expanding Online Sales Channels for Local Agricultural Products
Successful Outcomes of the Support Project
Pohang City recently concluded its 'Live Commerce Support Project for Expanding Sales Channels of Local Farms,' which was launched to help local farmers broaden their online sales opportunities, with great success.
This project was officially initiated after Pohang City signed a business agreement with 'Sodam Square Daegu,' operated by Daegu MBC, in March. It was carried out as a promotional commerce initiative utilizing various platforms such as Danggeun Market, Instagram, and Cashwalk.
As a result, the cumulative number of viewers during the project period reached one million, providing an effective opportunity to showcase the excellence and freshness of Pohang's agricultural and specialty products to online consumers.
In particular, the participating company Haengbok Food Box attracted 280,000 viewers in a single live broadcast held on the 22nd, and is now regarded as a leading example of pioneering online sales channels for local farms.
Going forward, the city plans to continue providing practical support for diversifying online distribution networks, including ▲creator training programs ▲expansion into home shopping sales channels ▲production of YouTube-based promotional content.
Lee Hyunju, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "This live commerce project has greatly contributed to enhancing the recognition and strengthening the brand of Pohang's agricultural and specialty products," and added, "We will continue to develop sustainable support measures to improve farmers' distribution competitiveness and increase their income."
