Hyundai Card Reports First-Half Net Profit of 165.5 Billion Won, Up 1% Year-on-Year

Hyundai Card announced on July 25 that its net profit for the first half of this year was 165.5 billion won, marking a 1% increase compared to the same period last year.


Operating profit also increased by 2.3% during the same period, reaching 214.5 billion won.


Total credit sales, combining both individual and corporate transactions, amounted to 86.6506 trillion won, which is an increase of 5.4814 trillion won (6.8%) compared to the same period last year (81.1692 trillion won). During this period, the number of members reached 12.5 million, an increase of 510,000 (4.3%) from 11.99 million in the first half of last year.

The actual delinquency rate based on more than one month and the general delinquency rate were 1.19% and 0.84%, respectively, which represent increases of 0.12 percentage points and 0.13 percentage points compared to the same period last year.


A Hyundai Card representative stated, "By strengthening product competitiveness, both the number of members and the amount of credit sales have continued to grow, resulting in increased profits." The representative added, "Through financial products focused on real demand and proactive risk management, we have achieved one of the lowest delinquency rates in the industry."
