According to the city on the 25th, this exhibition classifies traditional ornaments by material and presents a total of 70 pieces. It highlights the allure of gemstones and precious metals, allowing visitors to experience the artistry of our ancestors, who can be considered the originators of today's K-culture.

The exhibition, held in the special exhibition hall, is organized into three sections: Section 1 "Gemstones," Section 2 "Metals," and Section 3 "Others."

Section 1 "Gemstones" features ornaments made of jade, which symbolizes status and dignity, as well as coral, amber, crystal, and pearl. In particular, the "Princess Yeongchin's White Jade Butterfly Hairpin" is a work created by Kim Younghee, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage jade craftsman. This piece, adorned with pearls, coral, and carnelian on a jade plate, showcases the splendor of royal court ornaments.

Section 2 "Metals" displays ornaments made of gold, silver, and bronze, such as gold-leafed ribbons, gold hairpins, and silver belt buckles. Visitors can appreciate the texture of flexible metals and the delicate beauty of fine craftsmanship.

Section 3 "Others" features ornaments made from tortoiseshell, ebony, bamboo, and black horn, such as tortoiseshell hat strings, ebony hairpins, and bamboo hairpins, allowing visitors to appreciate the diversity of materials and unique beauty.

Educational and hands-on programs related to the exhibition are also being prepared. Visitors can learn about the exhibition's concept and the process of making traditional ornaments, and directly experience the value of traditional culture through activities such as "Drawing My Own Ornament" and "Ornament Stamp Making."

The exhibition is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with last admission at 5:10 PM. For more information, please visit the Jewelry Museum website or contact by phone.

A representative from the Jewelry Museum stated, "Our ancestors wore ornaments to express practicality and individuality in harmony," and added, "We hope this exhibition will be an opportunity to newly discover the charm of gemstones and precious metals, which are the main materials of Korean traditional ornaments."
