Perceived Temperatures Around 35 Degrees Celsius

This weekend, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to remain mostly clear and hot.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Gwangju and Jeonnam are currently under the influence of the North Pacific high-pressure system, and heat wave advisories have been issued for most areas. During the day, the perceived temperature will be around 35 degrees Celsius, and in some areas, it will reach around 33 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, July 26, the morning low is forecast to be around 26 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching between 33 and 36 degrees Celsius. Sunday, July 27, will follow a similar pattern, with morning temperatures at 26 degrees Celsius and daytime highs rising to around 36 degrees Celsius.
The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Since there is a high possibility of heat-related illnesses, please refrain from outdoor activities and outings, and pay special attention to food hygiene." They also urged, "Infants, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses should be especially careful about their health."
