Yangju City Announces Online Application for Postpartum Care Expense Support

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is providing postpartum care expenses in cash, up to 500,000 won per childbirth, to all families residing in the city with newborns born on or after January 1, 2025, regardless of income level.

Eligible recipients are those whose newborns are registered as residents of Yangju City, and where the mother is also registered as a resident of Yangju City as of both the date of childbirth and the date of application.


Applications can be submitted within six months from the date of childbirth. Applicants must visit the Yangju City Public Health Center and submit a receipt for the out-of-pocket expenses incurred from using a postpartum care center or the Maternal and Newborn Health Care Service (Sanmo Doumi).


Additionally, starting from July 28, online applications will also be available for the convenience of mothers. Applications can be submitted by searching for 'Yangju City Postpartum Care Expenses' on the Government24 website. For required documents and further details, please refer to the Yangju City Public Health Center website or contact the Maternal and Child Health Team of the Infectious Disease Control Division at Yangju City for detailed guidance.


An official from Yangju City stated, "Recovery after childbirth is the most fundamental consideration for both the mother's well-being and a healthy start for the baby. We will ensure that every family can receive sufficient care without financial burden by paying close attention to their needs."
