Sanggye 10th Complex in Seoul Applies for Rapid Integrated Planning, to Transform into 4,000-Unit Mega Complex

The Sanggye 10th Complex Apartment in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, will undergo reconstruction through the Rapid Integrated Planning process for establishing a redevelopment plan. The Sanggye 10th Complex Reconstruction Preparation Committee (Chairman Oh Jihoon) announced on the 11th that it had completed its application for the Rapid Integrated Planning advisory method.

This complex, completed in 1988, currently consists of 2,654 aging apartment units across buildings up to 15 stories high. It is planned to be transformed into a massive complex with buildings up to 49 stories tall, approximately 4,000 units, and various ancillary welfare facilities. According to the plan, a public pedestrian passage within the complex will improve accessibility to the Jungnangcheon riverside park and enhance the sense of openness within the complex. The skyline plan focuses on creating a three-dimensional complex layout.

To expedite the project, Sanggye 10th Complex selected Korea Land & Trust as the preliminary project implementer. After passing the detailed safety inspection, the complex has now completed the application for Rapid Integrated Planning, and the reconstruction is proceeding step by step.

Chairman Oh Jihoon of the Preparation Committee stated, "Our complex's plan is aligned with Seoul City's district unit plan, making it possible to establish the redevelopment zone and plan swiftly. The active interest and participation of the owners will be the greatest help in advancing the project quickly."

Sanggye 10th Complex is a major transportation hub, adjacent to Madeul Station on Line 7 and the Dongbu Expressway. In 2027, construction is scheduled to begin on the development of the railway facilities in the Changdong Vehicle Depot area to the south of the complex. Additionally, as Seoul City's planned Seoul Digital Bio City hub development project gains momentum, the residential environment in the area is expected to improve even further.
