The 'Busan Eco Delta Smart City National Pilot City' is a future-oriented city being developed on approximately 560,000 square meters within Eco Delta City in Gangseo-gu, Busan. The project is being jointly promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Busan Metropolitan City, Korea Water Resources Corporation, and Busan Urban Corporation.

The National Pilot City is a project site selected by the government to lead the implementation of smart city policies. It is a city model that integrates advanced technologies such as unmanned autonomous shuttles, smart water systems, smart homes, digital healthcare, AI-based urban safety systems, and energy optimization technologies.

At this expo, a variety of exhibitions were organized to allow participants to see and experience these smart technologies firsthand. President Shin Changho and other executives and employees of the corporation toured the exhibition hall and discussed how to effectively apply smart technologies to actual construction sites.

Previously, in December of last year, Busan Urban Corporation established the special purpose company 'Smart City Busan' to fully launch the National Pilot City project.

President Shin Changho stated, "The evolution of technology is the evolution of cities, and ultimately, it must move toward improving the quality of life for citizens." He added, "We will actively incorporate the smart technologies confirmed at this WSCE into all aspects of urban development and housing construction projects."
