The city plans to form a consortium with these organizations to establish a collaborative system and jointly conduct a preliminary feasibility study for the Future Energy Park development project. Specifically, the consortium will work on project identification, feasibility analysis, analysis of development costs, strategies for attracting investment, development of profit models involving local residents, and plans to expand transportation infrastructure.
Starting next month, the city will launch a research service and, based on the results, determine whether to proceed with the development of the Yeongheung Future Energy Park.
Mayor Yoo Jungbok stated, "Together with the participating organizations, we will lead the transition to future energy industries such as carbon-free power generation and offshore wind power."
