Selected as Model Thanks to Solo Song "Super Tuna"
Various Marketing Activities Planned
On July 22, Dongwon F&B announced that Jin of BTS has been selected as the brand model for "Dongwon Tuna," Korea's representative canned tuna product.
This model selection was inspired by Jin's 2021 solo song "Super Tuna." Jin, who enjoys fishing, wrote the song based on his experience of catching a tuna, and the music video has surpassed 100 million cumulative views on YouTube, gaining widespread popularity around the world. Dongwon F&B plans to promote Dongwon Tuna, a high-protein nutritional food, together with Jin, who has shown a special fondness for tuna.
Dongwon F&B will launch full-scale marketing activities by releasing a teaser video at noon on this day. The teaser features the song "Super Tuna," sparking curiosity about the main advertisement. Dongwon F&B will unveil the main commercial on July 27, and in August, plans to upload one SNS Shorts video per week. In addition, the company will carry out various marketing activities, such as selling the "BTS Jin Edition," which consists of tuna cans and stickers featuring photos of Jin as the model.
A Dongwon F&B representative stated, "We expect that the healthy image of high-protein 'Dongwon Tuna' will be well communicated to consumers through Jin, who is loved for his unique bright energy," adding, "Together with the world-renowned artist Jin, we will promote Korea's representative canned tuna 'Dongwon Tuna' to global consumers."
